Chuck Grom joins GHRA to cover Retail sector

Gordon Haskett Research Advisors (GHRA) is pleased to announce that Charles (“Chuck”) Grom has joined as a Senior Analyst to establish coverage of the retail sector and help build out a consumer boutique at GHRA. Importantly, Mr. Grom will be supported by a senior team and unique data resources that will help differentiate his product offering. “We are very excited to have Chuck join the firm” commented John Argenti, President of GHRA, adding “we continue to build our research effort to bring high-quality, conflict-free analysis to a select group of institutions. Mr. Grom has roughly 20 year of experience as a highly ranked analyst. Most recently, he was a Senior Analyst and Managing Director at Sterne Agee CRT covering the Broadline/Department store and Supermarket sectors. He previously held a similar role Deutsche Bank, where he ranked #1 in Institutional Investor’s All-American Research Team in 2012 in the Broadline and Department Stores sector. Before that Mr. Grom was at J.P. Morgan for approximately 10 years, where he ranked #2 in Institutional Investor’s All-American Research Team from 2008 to 2010 in the Broadline and Department Stores sector, and was ranked Runner-Up in 2010 in Food & Drug Retail. Mr. Grom also placed #1 in the Greenwich Research Team Survey in 2009 and 2010. Before that, he was the Small and Mid-Cap Hardline Retailing Analyst from 2002 to 2005. Before his time at J.P. Morgan, Mr. Grom spent three years each at Salomon Smith Barney and Arthur Andersen during which he earned both his CFA and CPA designations. He holds a B.S. in Economics and Accounting from the Holy Cross College in Massachusetts.
